Solar Array to Charge Controller Disconnect-Breaker |
| Main Sections |

| In the picture you can see the simple wiring of the solar array to charge controller disconnect. This is a “Square D” QO 50 amp DC breaker. It is used as a disconnect between the solar array and the controller. As with the charge controller to battery bank disconnect it is a very simple setup. The positive wire runs from the positive solar array out put through the breaker and on to the controller. The negative runs from the negative output to the solar controller. You do not want to put a switch on both wires, Make sure the cables you use have the correct amp rating for the breaker size and wire run length. This was a good place to bond the system DC negative cable to the ground. |
